Each member has the ability to choose which news feed they want to receive updates from. This opt-in process means that your leaders are speaking directly to an interested audience.

It used to be that anything communicated to the alumni base had to go through the alumni association office. Your class agents and local alumni club leaders now have the ability to communicate directly to interested members by making a post in their news feed. A notification is then automatically sent to alumni that have subscribed to that news feed.

Your members now have the ability to join the conversation by consuming the post - including video, audio, images, or documents – and then commenting or rating the post. Your alumni events and announcements can now be an ongoing resource to the community.

Your members now have the ability to self organize based on similar interest or existing relationships. Groups can be started based on industry, location, or just about anything else.

Group members now have the ability to communicate - using video, audio, images, or documents – and collaborate with one another. Groups can be open to the public or limited to a select group, such as a group volunteers or planning committee.

Inbox
The first place your members will receive notifications is inside Unifyer in their inbox. Members will see notifications from everything they are subscribed to - News, Friends and Groups.

RSS is a tool commonly used to syndicate content from one place to another. RSS In will allow your organization pull in relevant content. It will also allow your users to syndicate their personal blogs. If you choose to enable it, RSS Out will allow your users to syndicate your content in their RSS readers or other websites.

Each community is controlled by their site Administrators. The Admin features allow you to create news feeds, communicate to all of your members, and monitor user activity.
